This is well composed and I like your post-processing and tones.  Looks like the 1940's.

I like the juxtaposition of the sculpture next to the figures in the photo print, like a modern take on a historic icon. The photo is Victor Jorgensen's version of the scene made famous in Alfred Eisenstaedt's shot of V day. One thing that was striking to me in the original image was the contrast between the nurse and the sailor's dresses. By taking away that contrast, the statue suppresses the drama but uplifts the eternal appeal, of human love above violence. I always wondered why the other hand of the sailor is placed so awkwardly with that clenched fist, rather on the girl's shoulder.

the warm light of the museum matches with the sepia tone of the photo. As a result, the statue seems more in place and part of the image itself, and yet distinct from the photo. The original photo was taken with a Leica, what camera did you use? :-)

The immortal celebratory kiss, well documented by the new statue against the print.  The sepia tones give it a period look.  But, is this really you after a long absence? Good to see you again ;-)... Mike

I tried to provide more info about this picture, but PN won't allow me to provide the link.....stating something about HTML.  I was so struck by this juxtaposition.  If you want to read more about it, just Google it.  This woman just died this year.  And I was surprised to find out that these were 2 random people....it was not a romantic event.
