Pretty common to have does near the house, even a buck now and

then. This morning, four bucks in varying sized, a bunch of does,

and even a couple of this year's fauns. Those in short grass are

actually on the "lawn". D 750 with 28-300 was set up, so that is what

I stepped out the door with. Hope you enjoy the photos!

Hey, Bill, Thanks! Ex the Bucks, they were back just before dinner -- These are completely wild, but I walked very close, a dozen yards or so before they would leave the garden. Didn't even bring the camera! Probably the same at your end of things. All the best, Sandy

Alf, thanks a lot! The colors of Montana.  The Mule / Black tails are big and plentiful. Living in the deep country has benefits, but you have to be comfortable with all kinds of critters. Cheers, Sandy

Wow, beautiful neighbors you have there!  The doe actually looks more wary than the buck.  Well done... Mike

Mike -- they are great to see, but have munched through all sorts of garden plants we've bought over the years.  Since we enjoy both the gardens and the critters, an electric ribbon fence goes up around the garden in the Spring.  The deer are generally so unafraid you would swear they are tame. Thanks for commenting! Sandy
