All this waste land, with nobody to claim. The vending machine seems to be the only 'intelligent being' on this island, ready to dominate over all others (after suffering from insignificance all it's life in human land). Lurking at the edge, it's presence is subtle but significant, like any supreme authority. Our vending machine distinguishes itself from it's subjects in the color of it's attire, like any king or queen would. I like the power lines and the tire marks, emulating the scratches of an artist's knife on a painting. As if they are marking territory in a challenge thrown at the vending machine, who is quietly watching their insolence. I like how you have defied rules to make the blank space your subject and successfully executed it.
