Bodie Island Lighthouse – Cape Hatteras National Seashore

As I took this path to the marsh overlook and passed the signs warning

of the venomous snakes in the area, I wasn’t the least bit afraid.

But it was fortunate I had my tripod to steady the shaking – probably

from the winds coming in from the ocean. Comments and critique

appreciated.

Wayne,

Beautiful scene with wonderful composition, colors & details.  I sure am glad you didn't walk upon a snake you would still be running.  Take care, Patsy

Beautiful capture Wayne. I love lighthouses and was immediately drawn to this but you're totally right about viewing it large, even better. I would have been moving right along after seeing signs posted for venomous snakes too. Good work.

Holger,

I can't help stopping to image a lighthouse.  The vantage point from this marsh seemed perfect and gave me the nerves to venture beyond the snake warnings.  (I am one of those with snake phobia)

Maria,

Thanks.  Great observation.  During this time on the island I was giving particular attention to cloud treatment.
