Beautiful edit of this shot Tony. I see that it is from 2014 so I may have seen it before but I am a fan of you going back and redoing some older shots - we all learn more every year. This is stunning!

Gail, I am pleased you like it.   It is from 2014 but it is not a redo. During the Fall  I may leave my house at 4 am and return at 9 pm and I will shoot hundreds of images. I then try and share 4 or 5 from that session. This one did not make the cut in 2014 and now I am older and hopefully a little wiser, I thought that this one should have made it out in 2014.   All the best and thanks.

An excellent warm-up to the coming Fall.  A smoky mountain, fog, reflections and classic composition, very nice... Mike

Subtle light, slight movement in the water, shifting mist and morning sky's that all beg to be photographed. This image has them all.  Its always interesting to visit ones own archives, not only can you discover something that you may have overlooked previously, but the chances are that you have learned a bit more about processing and can use that knowledge accordingly!

Very well done Tony!

I am  looking forward to Fall also. I remember you have some fog/mountain images that are very inspirational.   All the very best,

Thanks for stopping by and your comments are always appreciated. I do believe that in two years, I am better post processor but this one did not need much work. It is that low lying cloud (mist) in the trees that really caught my attention and the rest was just a matter of proportionality and making sure I got that cloud.  In Alaska and Yukon, I encountered more than my fair share of low hanging clouds with fairly significant motion that was almost hypnotic. This was taken in Carcross (Yukon) a long time ago and needs to be edited but it has that low hanging set of clouds which I like.

The comment - a really nice capture - just isn't enough for this one. You've captured the feeling of those early, warm , mornings of fall. Great work and one of the reasons for getting up at oh too early to photograph.
