This is really nice. Rich colors and the light is beautiful.

Love the graceful arc of the young maple on the left - as if bowing to the fallen monarch.

A perhaps common woodland scene - but so well composed, and I like the rich summer colors.

The forest trolls came out to admire the sunset.  Stunning color with great contrast between the warm light and the cool lake... Mike

I like the gnarled tree surrounded by vegetation, sort of like a ying/yang thing going on  

I see an open shark mouth on this trunk Tony. I bet it ate the other half of the tree. Lovely depth and 3D feeling on the right!

Thanks for stopping by. You have each commented  on an aspect or two which I also like. And to Michail, I had not noticed the shark so I must be slowing down.  My only regret is that the color of the remaining light was not quite as intense as the previous shots.  I probably invested too much time on the previous shot taking 2 sets of bracketed images with a variance in the focus point. Back at the computer, I like the fan-like wood close to the ground so that will lead me to spend some time on a 2nd visit to see how I can make that a big part of the next image.   All the best and keep on shooting,
