I really like how the sense of depth is not lost here in the middle of the diversity of forms and directions of the lines that make this composition. Great handling of b&w and remarkable sharpness.

Ricardo,

You have pointed out an important aspect, the sense of depth amidst the cacophony of shapes and textures. It is probably something that attracted me to this scene in the first place. I consider the architecture in this part of the monastery quite unique, and to dedicate this to such nondescript venue as men's room is somewhat ironical.

One other observation: I think the sunlight and the shadows actually compliment the architectural lines and curves. Not sure how would like a different time of the day.

Mike,

Thank you for commenting on the textures and forms. One note, I always test the BW conversion between Lightroom and Nik's Silver efex pro. I have notices, Silver efex really brings out the texture in walls/stones lot more than Lightroom does, and this scene is an example.
