Coho 2 Posted August 13, 2016 Not a flower anymore so how to classify? We don't have a close up category. This is a 15 image stack processed in Zerene Stacker. Radu, Gregory, Verena, and others; do you use image stacking software in your photography? Link to comment
wobby 0 Posted August 14, 2016 David, good morning. Nice image. To me it is not (yet) a seed pod, but a wildflower, still going to open. We have similar samples here (Portugal). The stems you see at the outside will suddenly all turn downwards and form a "big flower", being a group of many tiny flowers...... check this link: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18270102&size=mdBest regardsWobby Link to comment
gregverena 343 Posted August 14, 2016 Dave, This looks like Queen Anne's lace- not quite open yet. Certainly a flower item! I don't use stacking-haven't had much success with it. I do use as high an f stop as possible for dof. With something this size, f 18 to 20 should do a good job. G Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 477 Posted August 19, 2016 Dear David, this is the flower of wild carrot (Daucus carota) In the countryside of my region it is very frequent. I too have often used with great satisfaction the focus stacking technique, there are some images in my portfolio in the series of Macro. I use the software of Photoshop. This is a very nice photo, the enlarged image shows all the sharp details of the seeds, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
