You managed  well, shooting against  the sun. Not  many brave photographers would do that. You controlled  the  lens flares as well, successfully. A little  more  contrast to the  sky and the far a way land mass  would increase  the image quality  even more.

Holy s**t!  I didn't realize until you posted a thread in the site help forum that it's been an overly long time since I looked at your work and commented.  My sincere apologies . . .

 

I'm impressed mostly by the trail of sunlight on the water and how it leads my eye to the mountains.  The soft appearance of the mountains is a strong element as well.  Although I understand Bela's point about contrast, I'm not altogether sure that such an adjustment would make a significant difference in the image's overall quality.

Well I like it a lot.  And I feel it is pretty close to what my eye would be seeing with this brilliant sun!  While the water gets brighter - I can still see detail - my eye was drawn to the image because of it's beauty.  Lovely capture Jim - once again travelling to a place I will never get to - but I can see it through your eyes, Thank you!
