I have not done very much black and white but am really interested

in learning. My son Jesse and his family were visiting us. His

stepdaughter Eden was just staring off into space. When I saw the

image in Photoshop I was so intrigued by her expression. She is a

very strong willed and confidant girl - but I sensed some vulnerability

in her expression at this moment in time.

thanks so much for your visit - yes this is out of my comfort zone - but I have been challenging myself. Glad to hear you found it interesting and many thanks for the welcome back :)

Thanks so much Donna. Eden is growing up very fast right now - you know - not quite a little girl and not quite a teenager. Every time I see her I can see changes in her face.  I liked this candid expression. Thanks so much for your input Donna.

Gorgeous portrait of an intriguing young girl. The choice of monochrome and your toning adds a certain film noir quality that enhances the image a lot.

Gail,

To me portraiture is an attempt to capture the essence of the subject: this is an excellent example. I take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for taking the time to review some of my work and putting into words, better than I, what I'm trying to express. Regards, Alfredo

I have not been on PN a lot and looked at the people I follow and saw some impressive images of yours. You reminded me of so many people that I miss on PN.  You have such a good eye for composition. I like what you just shared about Portraiture - suits this image very well.  I enjoyed the time 'visiting your images' and I will be back. Thank you for those kind words shared Alfredo. :) best always, Gail
