Coho 2 Posted July 19, 2016 I have a Cotoneaster Bush is covered with bees of different varieties in the late spring. This was taken with a macro lens handheld. I was really surprised at how difficult it was to get everything in focus. I must have shot at least 100 images to get this one shot in reasonably good focus. But I think it is worth it. It was fun to do. Link to comment
Sandy Vongries 34,393 Posted July 20, 2016 I have been working on learning macro -- obviously I don't have your patience or stamina. 30 or so is my usual max. Well done! S Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 461 Posted July 20, 2016 the perseverance won, a good macro , the enlarged image shows well all the sharper details of the bee, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted July 20, 2016 Good bee shot. Yes, working with a macro outside can be a challenge, since everything is moving. To get more in focus, you have to increase the f-stop as much as possible - this will depend on light and how high an iso setting your camera will stand. You don't include exif info, so I don't know what you're using for settings. The 100 to 1 ration isn't really all that bad :)G Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 30, 2016 Now this is a terrific macro. This is a bee with a personality. He/she appears to be communicating with the viewer. Really nice!. Larry Link to comment
