I admit I am not a big fan of Georgia o’Keefe’s flower paintings.

There is something about interpreting that intimate world of flowers

through painting – stylizing that domain that leaves me wanting. In

this area of art, I feel photography wins out over painting. Macro

photography astounds us by revealing a layer of reality we didn’t know

existed. I have not seen a painting that explores that world more

intriguingly than such artists as Radu Carp, Line Martel and other

photographers. Comments and critique appreciated.

Fabulous Macro. I don't know if I've seen this bug before. Your detail is well realized.  The delicate details of the flower are captured well also.  Sometimes I wonder if 'bugs' think....they must....and also live by instinct, but I wonder what this fellow had on his mind.

Gail,

Many thanks.  It may be my imagination but sometimes it feels we (bugs and I) are carrying on a dialogue during these photo shoots.
