And I was maybe 8 feet from her Maria. Fortunately there was a very sturdy fence between us. I had the camera on CH and as soon as I saw her start to yawn I just held the shutter button down, a lioness yawn captured at 8 fps!

The male lion really could not be bothered with us, but the lioness was quite curious. She walked right up to us. She actually asked me which side of hers I thought was best.....just kidding.
