Thanks for viewing/comments! ... I always wanted this shot but never could get both

bird sharp in focus. Voila! .. finally! The mother is trying to teach the chick to perform

aerial food transfer ... they let the chicks go hungrier each day by feeding less and less

and entice them to give chase to practice flying and other necessary skills ..

Thanks Bill! Many of us had thought the season is over for this but luck prevails for those who stick around, LOL!  It's about 3 hours round trip for me yesterday and I got there at 5PM .. had a spectacular show and left at almost 8PM and did not get home till after 9PM but it was well worth the effort.

Absolutely stunning capture!  However, these hours you're keeping are going to get you "trained" at home ;-)... Mike

Thanks Mr. Mancil! I spent 3.5 days down there on weekday (Tues ..thru Friday 12hrs day ) and spend the morning on Saturday with the Boss to smooth it up. These was taken yesterday afternoon (Sat.) after I see the coast is .. cleared  :-) . In fact, I even stay home this morning (now just got home from Church & lunch) so I can safely go again for the afternoon session. They do this much more early morning and late afternoon, btw.

Thanks Wobby! It was quite exciting for me while shooting this since I can see in the viewfinder while snapping that they first cross each other and then fly like this for 1,2 shot and I was hoping for sharp focus (which it did come out with this image). I had this type of shot before and I always like the open beak of the chick while chasing the mother (but it's was not sharp in previous attempts).

A great photo, it is not just luck, behind a picture like this is there is the perseverance of the photographer who gets rewarded. The description helps a lot to understand the behavior of these beautiful birds of prey, ciao Giangiorgio

Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! I am very happy with this but I hope to get them a bit closer next time.   :-)
