If you live in Wildfire country as we do, smoke in the air gets on your

nerves. You learn to smell the difference between "old" and "new"

smoke. This lot from the huge and awful wildfires in Canada. I have

helped fight a few, even fairly large, but none of that scale. Terrifying

-- I wish them safety and success. The smoke does deliver some fine

sunsets, but I could certainly do without the fires. C&C welcome as

always!

An interesting effect of the smoke is the warm glow of the sunset, it must diffuse the light to an extent where you can take a shot like this without blowing the highlights!

My Sincere Sympathies to all those that have suffered with the fires!

Best Regards

Alf, thanks! Several exposures, tweaking the best of the lot.

Looks as if the weather has helped in Canada and they are getting things under control.  Wishing them all the best.

Regards, Sandy
