Castle Butte - Take 3

This is a third take on Castle Butte from Valley of the Gods, Utah. Slightly different

composition with more stressed verticality, and a return to the darker sky. Would love

to hear if you like this one better than the others, or not, and why. Your feedback is

requested and always sincerely appreciated.

I'm stickin' with 01 (original).  I like the composition, lighting, contrast and detail better in that one.  Having said that, each one individually, had I not seen all three, would be considered excellent... Mike

Speaking from a composition point of view only. I actually prefer this one! The long shape adds elegance and a kind of regal quality that I find compelling!

Best Regards

Chris; Thank you for your feedback. I am sincerely appreciative of your kind words.

Mike; I'm kind of with you, in that each has its appeal, and I have had votes for each of the three as being best. If it comes down to taste, I think I like this composition, but with the better tones, textures, and details of the first. I'll have to see what I can do about that. I am very grateful for your time and input.

Alf; See my response to Mike, above. I, too, like this composition better, but will work on some refinements nonetheless. Praise from you is high praise indeed. Thank you for your time, interest, and input. They are very valuable to me.
