The identity of this Poppy has had me stumped for a few years. I

have searched several sites and have not yet come up with a 'name'

for it but I will keep searching. All I know is it is very unusual and

beautiful. I decided to use some Textures and Overlays for this

composition as the background was not overly pleasing. (Hoping

you enjoy this one, kind regards always, Gail :)

Welcome back, Gail. Your absence has been noted and you have been missed. This is a lovely offering to mark your return, produced in your easily identifiable style - half dream, half reality. Shhh, don't make any noise; everyone is fast asleep.

It is nice to see that you have missed me :) Just busy with 'life' and 'family' - moved our daughter Shauna which was a good lesson for the future. By the end of the Move - with 3 men and a truck - there is always lots more to do :) Once Jim was in the elevator ready to go home, he just sighed and said "if I ever mention that we should move - just slap me!!! - I hurt so much I could cry!".  Yep, does sound like we are no longer the pliable youngsters were thought we were in our early 50's.  I did not do any heavy lifting and I felt pretty sore. I was ordered not to do so, but there is always something that needs to be done :) owwwwwww.  In between there have been other activities to keep us busy - but finally got back into editing where I have a total 'mental health break'. Thank you for those very fine words expressed as you always do - they encourage me to keep coming back.  It is finally warming up here in Southern Ontario - never thought it would!! But at least we did not have as severe cold this Winter or the heavy snows. I hope you are doing well and will be visiting you soon my friend!

I knew you would have noticed my absence - but you are so kind and keep sending me pics or videos - kind of like reminders of 'where I should be'. You have a big heart Kathy - I do appreciate it so much!

I have been thinking of you on and off for some time and really trying to find the time to get really 'back'.  Thanks so much Jim for letting me know I was missed....have missed seeing your work....will visit soon!

It looks a lot like work painted around 1880 in the Netherlands. I consider this as a real work of art, crossing the borders between painting and photography. It is truly what the sap of poppy's does with the human mind. Bringing him or her to unseen paradises and soothing the pain of the human existence. Time for a new description (if it doesn't already exist) Photopaint.

Best regards, Herman.
