alfbailey 3 Posted February 8, 2016 I really like the angle and the light streaming through the windows. It gives a fresh airy atmosphere to the ancient architecture.Beautifully done! Alf Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted February 10, 2016 Very well managed difficult lighting situation and well composed interesting spectacle! I imagine it is some kind of lonely and calm monastery, I would enjoy doing shooting in that atmosphere! Best regards, Michael! PDE Link to comment
Ken Ratcliffe 103,503 Posted February 10, 2016 Great capture of a very difficult subject. So many lines and angles to get right. Good lighting and composition which really works. Best regards Ken. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 10, 2016 I'm with Ken on this. Many angles and lines to get right and you did. The excellent light is a bonus. I wish it had a little more height, but that probably wasn't possible. Either way it's a great capture.Best Regards, Holger Link to comment
DavidTriplett 12,682 Posted February 10, 2016 Michael, I echo the previous comments. I am especially impressed with the excellent balance in lighting between full sun and shadows. I might like to see a similar view, but shifted slightly right, to pull the corner column more out of center. Also, perhaps, a minuscule perspective correction to keep the vertical lines vertical. Impressive, and very well done! Link to comment
DavidTriplett 12,682 Posted February 10, 2016 Here is a very slightly altered version, with a tiny perspective correction added. I know it is not much different, but it feels more correct to my architect's eyes. Link to comment
