I carried my camera & telephoto all the way to the top of Mt. Dickerman

hoping for a couple good shots, this was my favorite.

I agree - it's a great image. I like the composition, especially how the forest balances the patch of clouds diagonally across the frame. Well done!

A deep sense of mountain puissance!

Thanks for all the comments. I have yet to climb this striking mountain near my house, but want to. The normal route winds around on the opposite side, then finishes up the right hand skyline ridge near the top. The west face, pictured here, is a long scramble with a few technical pitches down low - up through the middle. In winter it would be a great ice climb, except for our warm maritime winters which don't build up good climbable ice very often.
