tm_j 30 Posted November 26, 2015 Thanks for viewing/comments! The Osprey was quite happy perching on the tree trying to fish and the Great Blue Heron came up from the pond wanting to get her perch back .... hey, guy with the biggest club wins! Link to comment

Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted November 26, 2015 Wow! I assume this was part of a continuous series? If not you sure captured it at just the right moment, with a bit of separation between them. I've never seen anything like this around here - didn't know a heron would approach an osprey like that. Fantastic work Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted November 26, 2015 Thanks Chris! Thanks Wobby! I got lucky with both bird sharp at F4.5, I would have dial on more like F5.6 if I had a chance but not time for such thing . Thanks Jim! I was aiming at the Osprey (his head goes from side to side) ready to go down for the fish and notice the GBH flying up and thought may be I should get a GBH shot but I had a feeling that he might be going to go up to chase the Osprey away. Therefore, I move my aim back to the Osprey and shot like crazy. Got about 20 shots with a few showing the Osprey perching, moving some with the GBH beak, head, half-body and then both birds like the 3 shots I posted here. After getting kicked off the perch the Osprey was angry and circle back for some more but those images don't look that interesting like these 3. Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 463 Posted November 26, 2015 in this image I like the position of the wings in both birds, are stretched in a crescent shape, a great action photo, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted November 26, 2015 Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! Yes, I really like the fact that both birds got the wings fully extended also Link to comment
