Magnificent drama in composition. 'Looks like lower portion was rendered mono, leaving the upper w/ the pastels of the scene. If that's the case, would like to see w/out the mono. Either way, its beautiful. The two tone gives some discord for me.

In the folder at B&W -Jasper - Banff  you  can see, in B&W  only. It is a late evening  red glow  of  the  sun, hitting the moisture the powdered snow, clouds swirling around the edges of the peak, de  lover  part in the shadow anyway. The  sudden light come  from the very  far  right  as you can see  the image. I slightly emphasized the  color for this image.

Thank you  for stopping by and  your comments.

A very dramatic mountain shot. I'd say the little bit of snow snow makes all the difference.

I agree with Doug somewhat. The reds in the upper part look too intense to be felt realistic, especially with the contrast with the lower part. I prefer the colour version though as in B/W it looks too uniform and the red has its charm.

My impression upon seeing it first was Ansel Adams meets the mystery photographer. Well seen and captured.
