Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 11, 2015 Large view preferred. This is an image I dragged out when going through images of our trip to Argentina in 2008. One could also call it al fin del mundo, at the end of the earth. It was captured right after leaving Ushuaia, the southernmost city in South America. Your comments are appreciated. Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 11, 2015 Sorry for the misspelling in the title information. It should be "asea" not asta. Thanks. Larry Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted October 11, 2015 Hi Larry, This is a lovely image especially when viewed large. Great shades of blue and a couple spots of interest, very nice.BR, Holger Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 11, 2015 I like the various shades and patterns on the water as determined by the breeze and the inclusion of the second ship as a background focus point. Very nice sense of balance. Do you think the mast of the main ship looks slightly over - sharpened? Or could it just be a matter of contrast?Nice work Larry! Alf Link to comment
western_isles 12 Posted October 12, 2015 Larry this is a cracking image, very well done. It has the feel of a panoramic film camera, how did you create it? Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 12, 2015 Holger, Thanks for your visit and compliment. I am revisiting some of my older images to see if they can be improved in processing. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 12, 2015 Alf, Thanks for looking at this image. I hadn't noticed the white lines on the mast before, guess I failed to look closely enough. I will look at my original image to see if it has them. Could also be chromatic aberration. Thanks for noticing it. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 12, 2015 Frank, Thanks for your nice comment. I took this image with my first digital DSLR, a Nikon D80. Thanks again for looking at my images. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 12, 2015 Alf, I am reattaching the image. Somehow when I lowered the highlights on the image in CS6, those white lines appeared. Hope this is better. Larry Link to comment
