The twisted form and the scaly textures look brilliant in the larger view where the fine detail can be appreciated. I don't think the figure in the background adds much to the image, although it could be argued that it gives a sense of scale to the image.

Hi, I see a story here, instead of the figure being photographed next to the tree. Look at me next to this amazing tree, No we have what's the fuss It's only a tree.

I by the way think it is an amazing tree.

Quite often humans are used in a nature image to give a sense of scale and in this way you have been very effective. I will admit that I am strange in an abstract way. Immediately, I saw two female forms. I don't say this in any demeaning way but I saw a pregnancy so I perceived a deeper connection between the tree and the woman on the right.
