One week ago I actually saw a fisherman catch a huge carp from this spot but he put it back into the water.

One of your best Tony. All human elements have been blended in this fantastic scenery in the best seamless way. And this blue "patch" down there, what a pleasant optical surprise in the kingdom of sunset colors!!!
Keep on shooting.

Looks like he caught a boat ;-).  A really superb shot.  I think you have mastered the new body... Mike

Carp fishing is a huge sport in the UK, and anglers travel to all parts of the globe in search of bigger fish!

I love the colours and the sky in this image and reflections are wonderful.  The only things that spoil it for me are the fisherman and the bright blue neon looking lights.  Not because they are necessarily bad elements of the shot, but more because I can't help but visualise the shot without them and appreciate how much more tranquil the scene would become.   But I am sure you will understand my views, and maybe you even managed to get a few shots without the aforementioned elements?

Best Regards

Alf

PS: I am sure Patsy mean't to type the word "Carp"

I love the scene Tony - but that oversaturated blue light bothers me a bit, (just a personal opinion).  The fisherman is great, (since I am one too!).

Take care, David

Patsy - thanks. I witnessed the fisherman catching the carp and they had a tough time.

Michail - thanks for the support. I know that blue light is a bit different and I will explain soon.

Mike - Thanks. It does look like he caught a boat.

Alf - I agree with you re the blue light - it is indeed an anomaly in this sitting. You are correct that I did get shots without these lights. Here is one.   In fact, I shot a whole bunch.

David - I know that blue light catches your eye.

Now some additional info:

This is my local park in Candiac QC where I am treated to some visual delights throughout the year on some occasions. The plan on this night was to sit and enjoy some seventies music being performed in an open air amphitheater. I decided to bring along my photo equipment and see what my new camera could do with the show.   I was already seated at 7:40 pm for  (near the blue lights) for a show that would start at 8 pm. I also knew that the sun would set at 8:15. After a while you begin to get a sense as to whether there will be magical skies and i was getting that feeling. Without regret, I left the concert (blue lights) and headed to my 'location'. For most of the shots, I managed to hide the music performance but in this case, I wanted to reel in the fisherman as an effort to include people in some of my landscapes. In this case it was either the fisherman and the blue lights or no fisherman.

I took many (my usual style) with limited inclusion of 'the hand of man'.

I fully accept that the blue light here is a bit odd in this setting.

I will include one that I have not posted here as yet from that same evening.

Many thanks for the feedback

Many Thanks for sharing your other images, the colours are just amazing!  And now that MIKE has turned the lights out on the original posting even in jest...I kind of like it more : - )

Best Regards

MLM (Mike) What Blue light! (*_*). My original had very little post processing but you inspired me to try and make it "better".

Alf - happy to share.

Here is the re-worked image.
