Stupa restoration with bamboo scaffolding. I am always amazed by Asia's

extensive use of bamboo in construction and restoration.

I never realized that Bamboo was as strong as that!! An excellent capture. While I was 'complaining' about all the snow and the COLD....you were off having a great adventure!!!!

This looks complicated! It seems that the structures to walk on are still missing. Great and interesting capture.

I was always fascinated by the bamboo scaffolding on high rise buildings in Singapore, apparently it is very strong and is strapped together by bamboo lashings that have first been soaked in water, then applied, then drying out it becomes a very firm fixing.

This building is a very interesting shape, I would love to see it when the restoration work is finished.

Great subject!

Best Regards

I appreciate each of your comments. I just hope they don't 'over' restore it and make it look like Disneyland!
