Nice capture and story. The story is one to which I can relate. I have been renovating my house one room at a time over the past 3-4 years and when it came time to do my bedroom (and closet) I had to weed through and part with a lot. It wasn't always an easy thing to do because of memories associated with certain things and I was afraid if I let go of the shoe or the dress, etc., then I would let go of the memory. I ended up taking photos of some of the things I wanted to part with and others have gone into a box marked "sentimental". I really understand why it would be hard for someone to make that final gesture and put them in the bin. Very well done photo, which for me, stirs emotion. Thank you for sharing. :)

Stray shoes always arouse curiosity in me. How did they get there and why?  Yes, if only they could talk : - )

The torn poster and cracked plaster add further clues to the mystery, maybe they were abandoned after a night on the town!

Great observation and thought provoking  material my friend!

As they sparkled and had style they were always the favourite...  They knew the steps, danced all night but they also endured knowing every streets, and saw so much but they won't tell as a faithful accomplice... perhaps at last, time to rest.  The composition is excellent. The colours, the crack and the torn bit of paper on the wall add to the narrative of this excellent image.  Nice one Dimitris

Two shoes is enough to start something of a wild ride!  With some perspicacity, my imagination starts going where few might tread.  Shoes worn by Caitlyn or Wendy sitting in an outdoor street-side cafe, a man walks by and does a 2nd look and a third look. If it is Caitlyn then this encounter could really go down some winding and precipitous roads.   Well you get what i mean ......... (*_*)

Love the image!
