Wayne Sadler 591 Posted May 14, 2015 Recently while leaving the house for an early morning doctor’s appointment, I noticed a flock of turkeys in a neighbor’s yard about 30 to 40 meters away. I confess I have never thought of turkeys as particularly attractive or photogenic creatures. Maybe I have never seen them in the right light. Comments and critique welcome. Link to comment

lauramarco 0 Posted May 15, 2015 Dear Wayne, You'll smile surely but ... a question, why do you call him Tom? Are all turkeys thus named? I find it a strange name for a turkey. It's a great animal for getting excellent shots, with a set of lights, glittering and astounding plumage colors if spread. The sound they make is very peculiar.A striking image, I had been a little afraid to be so close. Congrats, kindest regards Laura Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted May 15, 2015 A very impressive beast and very well captured Wayne. He looks somewhat frightening.BR, Holger Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 591 Posted May 15, 2015 Laura,Thanks. I think they refer to adult male turkeys as Tom. Probably wise to fear a little these creatures. I've seen them attack some kids on bikes taunting them. Link to comment
