A treat to see nice clean colour and contrast Len.  Beautiful detail attained. I've never had much luck with Goldfinch - they sure are fast! Great to see the sparkle in his eye!

Lots of great detail, colour, definition, proportions and dof. The diagonal branch is another plus in a chance shot where all too often twigs and branches can look so obtrusive. Can't think of a single negative aspect for this one.

Thanks for the critique.  The hardest part of photographing these skittish creatures with a 200 mm lens is getting close enough to them. Takes a bit of patience, waiting until they become accustomed to your presence and acquiring the  confidence that you mean them no harm.  Best, Len.
