Beautiful tones and dynamic range capture from zones 1 to 9. I like the shading of the sky as it grow progressively lighter toward the horizon.

Thank you James, for commenting on this picture. It is just my belief that this location which is so famous for its bright red colored rocks (and mostly dedicated to color photography) could be just as beautiful in monochrome.

I also invite you to view the other images in this series taken at the same location.

That was exactly the point for posting these pictures. Like everyone else, I also initially meant these pictures to be in color. However B/W does real justice to them.
