Moon-rise in a crisp minty winter sky

Had to filter down the lights on the tree and moon... 17 deg. f, well worth freezing for...

the longest exposure the D4s has is 30 seconds, so I did this manually..."bulb"

The magical outcome has fully compensated you, what can we do, art requires small or big sacrifices from all of us :-).

An absolute stunner!  So many aesthetically pleasing aspects of this image, the surreal ice formation, the textures of the snow, the cloud movement, and the halo around the moon, all perfectly put together!
