The landmark that was photographed millions of times and has become the

iconic symbol of London is seen here opened and a boat is going through

and due to the 30 second exposure the boat has disappeared. What is left

are two trails of light and a little disturbance in the water made by its

propeller.

Such a beautiful night capture Dimitris. Such lovely light reflections of the water. It is really a treat to view the image larger. Excellent work in the shadowed areas of the boats! One day I hope to visit London. I've only seen it through images shared here and on television. Excellent detail achieved!

It is indeed an iconic landmark photographed many times over, but for good reason, it looks great when photographed well, and this is one of the best photo's I have seen of this magnificent structure.  I really like the way you have captured this without blowing highlights and with great sharpness.

I am glad you like it...the high lights are always a problem in nocturnal shots. I made two exposures from the same raw file for that reason.. The focus is on the bridge and I used the live view. But I have a feeling that you would do it better..-:).
