These roadside flowers seemed to be cuddling up for the night as the

setting sun was shedding its last colors.Thank you for your

Thank you for viewing and for the appreciation.Of course you are right with your observation about the noise;it appeared in PP when I gave more light to the background which was substantially darker as the sun had disappeared over the horizon;I tried to fix but came back to this which was the better compromise.

So much to love about this photo.  Perfect cluster of flowers, great low shooting angle, outstanding and vivid colors.....and the title and border make the package complete.  It's stunning and attention-grabbing.  Have you tried any noise reduction software?  I'm finding that even the noise reduction in LR is quite effective, though I know there are better programs out there for that kind of thing.

Thank you so much for the kind appreciation.I know that with the right tools/skills,the noise could be addressed,but I process my images with only the basic program in my Windows 7 package and my skills are what they are.I am glad you still like this.

Dear Laurent, I like this image and I'd like to comment on two things;

On one hand: I think when you took background image, there were no flowers, maybe? could it be, so? because I like daisy and at that hour of the day, they have already folded their leaves. With these lights, no daisy with open petals; but gives a lot of charm. The idea is that background attracts more attention than foreground, due to lights used. The flowers are dark, they are almost a curtain that obscures sunset, the sunset of a beautiful day. You played with background and foreground in a very interesting way.

On the other hand, I think that this image has no noise problems. I just think that in the background (sky) there're missing pixels and when photonet compresses the image, it has not helped you because very similar colours have been grouped into one and the same colour. It has been deteriorated. I can see missing pixels, but I see no noise: because there are photos with very good resolution and photographer seeks to play with noise and aesthetic. It's not the same. Try to keep your original resolution and upload a size that will not be compressed ie. 650 px. width, not more.

Soon, we'll enjoy larger images.

These are only personal thoughts, perhaps will help you. I like this work, it's appealing for me.

Congrats, Laurent. Kindest regards, Laura.

Thank you for the very kind appreciation and thoughtful observation.This is a single photo taken late as the sun was down and that sky was darker than this.To illuminate the flowers,I used the fill flash and then I tweaked the whole image in PP to come to this;in brightening the image to get the vivid sky,the noise appeared and with my basic skills,I could not eliminate totally but thought it interesting enough to post in the Night contest.Glad you still like the result.

beautiful eyes-catching image. don't be lazy : some noise correction ,too much invasive on the sky , should be an affordable job. anyway warm congrats for your vision,

Art does not have to copy reality. At least in my opinion it is a truly artistic image. Looks more like a modern painting than a picture. I like it  lot the way it is.
