Large view available. I took this image with slide film on an Olympus OM-4

in 2003. The scan to digital is small, yet the image seemed worthy of a

reprocessing. What do you think? Your comments are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time and interest. Larry

Such a moving image well titled, Larry! The almost centering of the boat emphasizes the large expanse of water against the background of that beautiful cloud that at once caresses the horizon and spells something ominous.

I like the photo elements and the type of color captured.   If truth be told, when I view it large, there are some technical issues  mostly the water and the boat, which, potentially, could be the  result of the scan process.

Tony,

Thanks for ringing in on this.  Of course, the image has technical problems.  I am not really concerned about them given how the image was captured and digitized, also considering it was taken eleven years ago when my skills and equipment were both different than they are today.  My goal here was to convey the mood I felt about the image as well as I can now in post-precessing.  It's all just for fun.  I hope this does not sound defensive. I value your visits and comments.  Larry

The photo as you say is all about impression and mood rather than technical quality. My impression or "take" on this image, is laying on a beach half asleep then waking and seeing this sight through half closed eyes, the vulnerability of the boat and it's occupant whilst the ominous cloud and rocks pose an ever increasing threat as the boat drifts perilously close and the boat occupant struggles to start the engine.  There is great tension here, albeit from my interpretation.  I won't say it's a great photo, but it is very different and what it provides is great fuel for the imagination and that has a value all of it's own.

Cheers Larry and Best Wishes for 2015!
