Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 4, 2014 Photographing through a badly streaked double pane plexiglas or polycarbonate window at an estimated 200mph approach speed into Laguardia airport, I was pleased to get this image of lower Manhattan and thought it worth sharing. Comments and critique appreciated. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 4, 2014 Considering the conditions (dirty glass etc.) you did get a decent capture Wayne. I have not flown for a long time and the last time I took an image out of a plane window was when I was 19. I think it is always great to have that 'memory' of the skyline just before you touch down. You had good light this time of day. Glad you took this one, thanks for sharing, :) Gail Link to comment
gsaphoto 2 Posted December 4, 2014 Those double glass windows make it unique and interesting! Well done - all what I can say. Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 4, 2014 Gail,Thanks. I even try to guess which window seat will afford me the best view of a destination city. Those plexiglass windows are always a pain. I think one reason I posted some detail about air speed and camera settings is to add to the database all we photographers keep in our heads to draw upon when encounter any give condition. I suspect someone knows a better way to shoot from a speeding plane. Link to comment

krpradu 125 Posted December 11, 2014 From the beginning the attention is to those buildings agglomerated on a small surface of land and the moment of the day with this light, the result is very interesting and if I didn't read your story never think for dirty windows. Link to comment
