Large view preferred. Capturing this image was rushed up because

of pelting rain that threatened my camera. It was a "set up the

tripod, snap, and run" situation." While the composition is not ideal, I

thought I'd share this anyway. Thanks for your visits and comments.

Soothing and thrilling at the same time.  Beautiful scene and capture.   But, uh, don't you know you're suppose to sacrifice your body and health and wrap your camera in your coat if it rains ;-)...  Mike

Spectacular location and scene Larry. Considering the circumstances I think it's a great capture. You've got nice color and your shutter speeds got a nice blur on the falls especially at the bottom.

Holger

Actually I think the composition is spot on, as Tony mentioned "Natural framing" added to that glorious fall colours and the rain adds that misty kind of essence that I love, maybe you should rush all your shots : - ) ...just kidding!

Very  well done Larry!

Best Regards

Holger,  Thanks for viewing this image and for your compliments.  I try to keep enough detail in waterfalls so that the water does not completely become a blur.   Best to you. Larry

Tony,  Thanks for your visit.  I am actually quite pleased with this image.  I wish I had gotten another that took in the sky to capture broader surroundings.   Larry

Patsy,   I appreciate your viewing my images and value your compliments.  I like the natural color of the image, showing the fall colors without being oversaturated.  Thanks again.  Larry

Alf,  I always appreciate your remarks and generally heed them.  Yes, this did work out well.  Perhaps rushing does work; I can do without the soaking though.  I actually have some plastic camera covers that work well in the rain. I just didn't want to fuss with getting one on at this time.  I cropped the other images of Lake Britton as you suggested.  Thanks.  Just did not post the changes.  Larry

Larry....the large view is quite stunning!  If you hadn't told us the weather conditions, I would have concluded it was a gloomy day.  I think not having the sun out actually worked to your benefit in this instance.  Bravo!

Christian,  I appreciate your visits and comments.  I too favor gloomy and cloudy days over sun any time.  Thanks for the compliment on this one.  Larry

Lovely waterfall shot - soft  light, soft colors and soft water - a pleasure to look at - very calming

Sandra,  Thanks for your visit and comment.  I would have liked to spend more time here, but my camera was taking a soaking and it was getting late.  Larry

Vasily,  Thanks for your comment and visit.  I was lucky to get this image as it was raining quite hard and my camera and I got quite wet.  That's also the good thing about this image because the rain was  on my side in capturing nice light.  Thanks again. Larry

Tina,  Thanks for your visit and comment.  I really wanted to capture at least one good image on this trip.  This is it.  I just looked at your marathon images and am most impressed.  Larry
