Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted November 13, 2014 Larger view available. This image and the next are detail shots of Lake Britton (previous image). I would appreciate your thoughts as well as your preference of this image vs. the other lake shots in this sequence. Thanks in advance for your time and interest. Larry Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted November 13, 2014 Larry - conditions were not the best but still a nice shot. I am just wondering what was the ISO speed for this one? Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 13, 2014 Surprising to me, I like this portrait version best (I tend to prefer landscape for scenics), perhaps because of the dramatic sky and cloud motion. Realizing the lighting was dull and dark in the rain, I couldn't help but wonder how it would look if the darks were brought out a little. Regardless, an eye catching image... Mike Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted November 13, 2014 I think the strong elements in this image are the lovely contrasting colours, the mist above the trees and the cloud. There is a large expanse of what might be termed negative space (lower right) that I think I would experiment with cropping along with a small crop from the top. This would leave a landscape format image leaving all the elements that give the image impact. What do you think? Best Regards Alf Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi Larry, Beautiful scene with wonderful fall colors, reflection & powerful sky Excellent image!! Take care, Patsy Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted November 14, 2014 Alf, Yes, I agree about that negative space. I will try the crop on a duplicate of the image. Ita sacrifices the reflection on the left, but that's not critical to the image. As, I said, I appreciate your helpfulness. Larry Link to comment
