John Peri 1,029 Posted November 12, 2014 This is more complex than the usual Dumas works. Again, as in the previous image, it works well in composition, however the message is not as clear as I am accustomed to. An excellent surreal work, I wonder what it symbolizes, though sometimes we search too hard for meaning when the senses should suffice. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 12, 2014 This is an amazingly integrated world like something you might encounter on a psychedelic trip rather than a product of the artistic surrealism which you usually produce. There are of course surrealistic elements (the phone, the wasp) but there's an alien dimensionality about this picture that I like very much. Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted November 12, 2014 Hi Pierre, Creative work of art!! I really like the wasp on top. Take care, Patsy Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted November 12, 2014 Dear Pierre, the wasp "wants but just can not" ... this reminds me of a Spanish short film (just 37 minutes) of Antonio Mercero (Film Director), entitled "La Cabina". There's a man who's making a call inside a public phone. When finished, he can not go out the cabin, he can not go out .... he warns passersby, asks for help, they're trying to help, trying out emergency and he ends with a face of despair, taking him to a large warehouse, a warehouse where thousands and thousands of ... telephone cabins with skeletons inside. So I prefer to be the wasp, she is OUT. Always can fly. Phones have something strange, I saw it as a girl and I have not been able to forget the film, I recommend it to you ... very surreal, you're going to like it. Of the year I was born. Striking image and it suggests "confining" to me. Congratulations Pierre, kindest regards, Laura Marco. Link to comment
AJBart 9 Posted November 12, 2014 Outstanding composition Pierre. I don't even know where to start on this one. You can be sure I will be viewing this one more than once!!!! (I like Jacks interpretation) AJ Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi, John! Let's just think this way: Wasp wants to sting (at least we imagine them that way) and wants to get to the phone, to sting with telling something someone, but the phone is unavailable for wasps, unavailable to those who would sting with some information...that may be a try to say something about the circumstances in some civilized community...good enough purpose? Thank you for your precious visit and your exploration, my friend! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi, Jack! Thank you for your thorough explaining of your impressions! It is not so psychedelic as it looks at first glance, we all live in a global society ruled by those who tend to dissociate of some facts and here it is shown symbolically! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 13, 2014 Thank you, Patsy! I am very disappointed, you didn't say that only I could do something like this in spite of the fact that I chose this one only to make you saying it, ha! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 13, 2014 Dear Laura, I think I remember such a film, long time ago though! You maybe don't know how close you are to the true meaning of this picture! There were times when the people who talked too much ended as skeletons and we now live in more sophisticated times when they don't even manage to come to the phone (means of information)! They must fly away after some time of useless trying!Thank you for your information, I will try to find that film as soon as possible! Best regards! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 13, 2014 Thank you, AJ! It took me quite some time to prepare all the elements! I'm glad that it's accepted as it is, for example by you! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 13, 2014 Grigoriy, You made me think of different interpretation possible, different from what I told to John, Jack and Laura! IE, the wasp is being prevented from taking a call! Interesting! Thank you for your visit and short, but efficient comment! PDE Link to comment

morophaenixmau 17 Posted November 13, 2014 ...ma il telefono, finalmente è irraggiungibile! Amico mio, questa tua immagine dimostra la tua strepitosa bravura. Non aggiungo altro ma resto stupefatto!Maurizio...a bocca aperta. Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted November 13, 2014 I was waiting for the call from the wasp.......I asked him to give me a buzz earlier : - ) Tantalizing ......the phone can be seen but cannot be reached, it sums up very nicely our societies obsession with instant communication, and the way we are isolated without it! Sincere Compliments Pierre! Alf Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 14, 2014 Thank you, Alf! I really hate those cell phones, I believe they melt our brains, figuratively speaking and also psychically! That's why I love this old phone! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted November 14, 2014 Welcome and thank you, Tim! There was really a lot of work and effort invested in this picture! I'm not a man who can create art with a single click, ha! Cheers to that, too! PDE Link to comment
