Wayne Sadler 567 Posted October 7, 2014 Artists' performances at festivals are quite unlike paid performances. Music and dance are done in pride and celebration of heritage, whatever and from wherever it might be. It is evident in the facesand posture - closed -eyes, the barely discernable smiles, theabandonment to the present. This image is of a member of the NosuDance Group performing at the Nash, TN festival of cultures, Oct 4,2014. Comments and critique are appreciated. Link to comment

lauramarco 0 Posted October 11, 2014 Dear Wayne,Nice work with lights and shadows. The blue-violet colour of the kimono is very interesting and catches quickly our gaze. The truth is that all Japanese themes really interest me and their culture as well. The makeup is unique. Very good portrait. Congratulations!Warm regards, Laura Marco Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted October 12, 2014 Laura,Thanks. I am drawn to the Japanese culture also. The make-up allowed me the opportunity to push contrast and discover patterns in the image I didn't notice before. Link to comment
