Merci Beaucoup Line! Every now and then, he's all puff up like a balloon and flap his wings as such. My friend told he it's his courting dance .  He only looks this good for a few month to charm the female (which looks almost like a Sparrow) and then afterward he sort of looks like the female OB too.

on the other one's, I thought it might be the different camera, but here you have the canon and still, you don't quite have the quality you usually have with your bird shots. I guess it's the distance and your " pushing the limits"  A lot of noise here- but, it can be interpreted as artistic, I guess  :)  G

ps- is the bird particularly shy? Would love to see a detailed shot.

Thanks Greg & Verena!  This very much max out since it's a crop of the image at 100% expanded and with 10mp there's not to many pixel left in this image.  It might have been better if I had taken this with the Sony A7R or A6000 (more pixel) , I think. But, no time to change camera though.
