The coloured smoke from previous displays was hanging in the air and when I saw this frame I processed it exactly as you described. I am glad you approved of my idea. and without wanting to boast this picture was entered last October in the first Cyprus international F.I.A.P., P.S.A. competition and it got an acceptance. There were 13500 entries in that competition from all over the world and the picture was entered in a tighter crop.

Beautiful work! Reminds me of work of the artist Robert Taylor (that's high praise from me as I have purchased some of his books and paintings)! If you ever get the chance to attend one of his showings, please do - he is a warm and charming man. Thank you for sharing. :)

Moody atmosphere, I like the post treatment that emphasizes the sky.

More than just a photograph, this really does ooze atmosphere. The colours are fantastic and the smoke adds great drama. But I can't help but wonder how much more atmosphere and perhaps nostalgia might be gleaned from a B & W version or perhaps sepia tone?

Sincere thanks my friend!. As for your suggestion I tried similar photos in sepia tones but somehow it doesn't work for me..But I know exactly what you mean. When I saw this frame I immediately thought of a Turneresque look.
