An Abstract Composition, gentle use of the Oil Paint Filter in CS6.

Original Image can be seen below. I do these quite often, it's either

this or Crossword Puzzles :) I find these challenge my mind more.

(any visits welcome, kind regards, Gail)

Gail, when I see a composition like this quick as possible I open it and very curious I am to see from what you started to realized this,is a very interesting technique you used and for sure your skill, imagination to do this.Has a very nice optical effect, looks like made from glass or stained glass a bit.In middle result something(what my mind, eyes  see)a creature with wings, can be an owl.I think also this splendid golden color gives too strong impact.Looking to title you did  can have this sens too.

Gail, I can hear the throbbing beat of jungle drums. I'm about to throw all my beliefs overboard and swear eternal allegiance to this collective family of gods. Amazing that this divine pantheon started out as a humble flower. A lesson for all of us.

Just spectacular!  I see quite a few symbols in this image, many of which remind me of some Mayan symbols I've seen before.  Your use of the oil painting filter worked beautifully, creating some lovely detail and texture.

My best,

Amazing transformation from the flower Gail. It reminds me of something that would be painted onto a tribal warrior's shield. What a talent you have my friend!

I would sit front of this stunning creation on a very uncomfortable wooden bench in a Museum for a very long time. Just stunning, a perfect place to use the oil paint filter.

My admiration on your creativity.

There are many mini images here and they fit together nicely. I really like the colors and the patterns. I can imagine this on the wall. I hope you process your images full size and don't reduce them to Photonet size before you work on them. It would be a shame to loose the potential to make larger prints of your work.

It sure looks like a masterpiece and it is a masterpiece! The pixel bender oil paint alone did this? There must be something else which your keeping as a secret Gail! Very much persuasive as a queen or something like totem! However, great stuff indeed! I congratulate you, dear Gail!

Best regards

As always Gail, brilliantly creative. You are becoming a master at these creations. I love the feline face peaking out at me, goes well with the theme.

All my best,   Bill

There are so many faces that popped up in this one, eve if your flip it Vertical there are many faces at that POV. Just amazing what can come of these composition. I see a Cat, A Totem Head, A bird a the Botto, and oriental man, fish heads, some strange creature at either side close to the bottom that reminds me of a Dr. Seuss character, some primitive masks. Thanks Bill, good to hear from you. :) it is over 50 degrees here today, so splendid!!

Well the composition was done first, using the Transform Tool in all it's glory, then I apply the Oil Paint filter. My sincere appreciation for your enthusiastic remarks, coming from the 'Master' it is always a fine compliment.

kind regards, Gail

Yes I always process to full size, then downsize for PN. I have a 13x19 printer now that I got for a really good deal second hand and it puts out pretty 'exacting' images with reference to colour on my Screen. I appreciate very much your kind and thoughtful critique. Your input is always so valuable to me.
