What a beautiful picture, Gail, it's like a conversation between two long time friends. You're getting pretty good at this kind of thing. When one of your thumbnails pops up in a group of recent pictures from the photographers I follow it's easy to tell which is yours from just a quick glance..

Oh My Weary Rose, lift up you head and seek the sun, please do not

FEAR, your day's not done. I will not leave - it's here I'll stay. I'll wrap

you in the shelter of the Peace you seek and watch over you, don't

fear to sleep. You may not see me, but KNOW I'm there. I am your

Friend, I will always care. (for a PN Friend, but I know there are so

many whom I do not know that need the same support - this is for

you as well. You are not alone. I am here, Gail)

I was writing my 'Prologue' as you were writing, how could you have known? I picked this Rose for a Friend whom I care very much about on PN, who is not well, but is 'fighting the good fight'. Every so often I get the odd message. Just enough to know my Prayers are not in vain. And I feel such relief. Sometimes I see this person 'online on PN' and just knowing that gives me solace. I know there are so many others that are in the same circumstances and PN is such a source of 'relief' and a 'diversion' from the everyday 'battle'. I admire their strength, yet I am sure they so often feel that they are not strong and not 'brave' at all. Yes, this image is symbolic of a conversation between 'close friends'. We are fortunate to meet so many here on PN, and as we share our 'battles' we 'build each other up. One day, this 'rose' will 'drink' and it's head will look toward the sun and fell that welcome warmth upon it's 'face'.

Thank you Jack for your intuitive Spirit and kindness. I always appreciate all that your share and never fail to learn from the words you write. My most sincere regards, Gail

It's a lovely image and I like your style here. It's one you keep coming back to and the results are nice: colorful, even if it's not many colors and there is a dreamy sweetness to them.

I'm sure you picked up the spirits of your friend with this and your commentary.

Thank you for those very kind words Chuck. I enjoy using layers and it keeps me occupied while it is still very cold. The 'posture' of the rose, is familiar to me from working in a Flower Shop. It needs to 'drink' and can't. I do hope my friend sees that they are on my mind. I have many of your images to comment on, they are all always so inspiring!!

cheers for now, Gal

So sorry that my English are not good enough to help me express ALL my feelings for this magical, serene, breathtaking image (though there are times, like this one, when i am not sure enough even for my Greek).

I think i will just stare in it rather than trying writing about it if you don't mind.

Keep and keep shooting.

Your English is just fine. I always am able to 'hear' the words you convey under your images, and here - well they are so well understood that I am very humbled by your shared thoughts. I am so pleased you found a connection with the image and appreciative of the time you took to visit and feel moved enough to even leave a comment.

sincere regards, Gail

My sincere thanks for you taking the time to encourage and share your thoughts on this composition. Actually this composition is mostly done using your Layers Palette, and of course a few textures. For years just the thought of doing 'layers' was like running into a Brick Wall. But now, I welcome the diversity it brings. With all the lovely flower images you have Patrick, you would really enjoy using layers.

with many thanks, Gail

Gail, perfectly designed and well presented image. Excellent composition and skillful work with layers. Unfortunately I am not able to rate it 7 for known reason!
