This is a case where I think monochrome is the better choice. For some reason the color version dilutes the strength of the image and gives it a sort of inspirational greeting card feeling. This one is sparer and more powerful in my opinion.

This one I think is a better looking than a previous you did and bw shows all we need for this composition.I like that is softly seen the side of church in shade,in right foreground  of image even snow is seen how crispy is.Ten points for this composition and how is worked my friend.

Thank you kindly. You are right about the texture of this snow now hardened by the intense sun during the day and the also intense cold during the night.I waited and followed the sun as it was dropping down behind the steeple;I was hoping to get some sort of halo over the church and got one,but not so well defined.

I like it the way you have it here. If you want a smaller halo behind the church, you probably need to bracket 3 to 5 shots one stop apart which would then need some post processing.

Thank you kindly. You are right;I did bracket a few stops and it did show up on the definition, but then,PP is another thing for me as you know.

Thank you for detecting the symbolique HOPE in this.I titled the colored version as such and dedicated it to my friend who is battling a health issue.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent
