alfbailey 3 Posted March 5, 2014 Great action shot, good clarity and well detailed. The ice itself though seems to a bit bright and harsh (although I'm sure this is good reproduction of how it was) and i wonder if a reduction of highlights and whites would make it that much more eye friendly? Also a crop of the immediate foreground that puts the players right up close makes for a bit more drama I think. Sounds like I'm being hyper critical, but I'm really not, I just think there is great potential here and I'm just typing thoughts and idea's. Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted March 6, 2014 Thanks for your constructive comment\critique. Just what the doctor ordered! The ice is a tad bright as I boosted the levels (curves) to improve detail in the player's faces. Your suggested crop is valid. It would only give greater precedence to the players, a good result. My only excuse was that I wanted to leave some room for the play to develop. I'll use your suggestion should I decide to print this one. In the meantime I'll play around with it to see if I have the skills to affect one area without adversely affecting the others. Gets tricky at times. Best, LM. Link to comment
