The fresh snow was bending the branches to create a crown over the

A canopy consisting of tree branches and snow, to shelter any travelers seeking refuge from the harshness of winter . . . It is difficult to say whether the only vehicular traffic here has been a carriage of sorts, but I'd like to think so.

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound’s the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

Thank you kindly; I rushed to take these early morning shots before the wind took the snow off the branches.

Many thanks to you and Robert Frost for the kind words.I built this road many years ago and I have been trimming the branches to shape a canopy which takes time with the slow growth we have given our long winters....but it is getting there.Glad you like this one.
