Thick morning fog hides the ugliness of a golf course and lets the Oaks shine - hopefully the way Olmsted had intended. Click on the image to enlarge.

Today's morning fog hid many details and led to almost monochrome

images. Cropping and toning in ACR. I hope you like it.

I have photographed scenes like this a few times and I always find these condition's absolutely mesmerising!

I really like the way you have chosen a perspective that allows a sense of the ever diminishing visibility and the thickness of the mist!

Sincere Compliments!

I agree - I drove past this park on my way to work and decided to take a little break before I even started. I spent over an hour just walking around and enjoying the light and the trees. There have been too many times when the light was just absolutely stunning and I regretted all day for not having stopped.
Thank you for your kind comments!

Hi Christof- Wonderful, you captured the sun in a perfect spot. Love images like this one. They create such a feeling of mystery & of the unknown & unable to solve. Like how the trees decrease in size , finally becoming invisible. Is this a B&W or colour, there seems to be a very slight touch of green. Best Regards_Ross

Hi Ross,
thank you for your kind comments. Yes, this is one of my favorite images from that morning. The image started out as a (rather monochrome) color image. I converted it to BW and toned it slightly green. Both adjustments were done in Adobe Camera Raw.
