I like the feeling of space that the perspective allows, and the snow flattened grasses in the foreground. I think the central tree works too. Just not so sure about the sky colours, looks a bit too intense.

Hi Ross,   Somehow, I feel a cold humid, winter wind cutting through me as I look at the grasses blown to the left.  I agree with Alf about the inrtensity of the blue.  This is a nice winter scene.  You captured the right exposure on the snow.  Best to you for the holidays and New Year.  Larry

Hi Larry-Thanks for your comments, right on,as usual.At times it is no place to be,absolutely bone chilling.All though,that area behind the tree will be full of fishing huts once the ice becomes a little thicker.Well it's Sunday night & Santa is probably preparing his reindeer for the grueling trip .WOW, do you recall how young you were when you believed this story.
