Yellowstone

Beautifully composed.  The harmonious hues of the animal and trees unify this image in ways that put this in my extraordinary category.  Excellent work, Jim.

Jim - I was not there so I cannot determine what the scene looked like in terms of color balance and level of saturation. As appealing as this is presented here, I made some adjustments which in no way claims that mine is better but to show you another possibility.

My analysis started with the fact that the image was captured either early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the color temperature would be warm.  I kept looking at the bush and kept thinking that the bush should be a tad greener which meant I would have to reduce yellow and reduce red. When I made that adjustment I decided to reduce the saturation a bit.

If I had to guess, and in terms of appeal, you would find members divided (not equally) between each of the versions. 

Again, there is no right or wrong so it is only to show another possibility and in the end, it is the photographer and artist that must decide what they want to present.

Or you increase vibrance and clarity and get this.

Of the three, this would be my favorite.
