clayton_m 4 Posted November 24, 2013 Very nice subject and theme, which works well in B&W. I think by cropping you can have a simplified and more powerful composition. Attaching an example. Cheers, -Clayton Link to comment
victorwei 0 Posted November 24, 2013 Yes, I like the cropped alternative better as it emphasizes on the interesting part.Nice shot regardless. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted November 24, 2013 The partially silhouetted figure on the cycle is really well isolated against the lighter background and therefore the most visually arresting. I think the cropped version works too, but I do prefer the space in the original as it leaves a destination for the cyclist to travel towards. Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
AlainD 0 Posted November 24, 2013 Same opinion. I like the original format better. Gorgeous light, excellent composition.Regards,Alain Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted November 24, 2013 No wonder your image has received so many well-deserved comments. It is indeed a great high-contrast shot, depicting and preserving a moment in time. BW works very well here. The management of highlights, shadows and mid-tones is great, so is the overall lighting. Well done.DG Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted November 26, 2013 Very nice scene, very well composed. The lamps, people, etc are on right places. The B&W is fantastic for the image. No crop. The left side with tree is a good balance to the composition, is more rich. Link to comment
