It looks like the start of a journey, an adventure maybe, a path that once trodden may change ones life forever.  A surreal story book fantasy that invites the viewer to take part.

Trails like this are where I feel most at home.  Although my days of hiking are quite limited now, I still yearn for the sort of quietude that only a hilly, wooded trail can offer.  Many thanks for your comments.

Actually, this is a trail I have not yet travelled.  But I will revisit it in the winter at which time a lot of the vegetation will be gone, and the surrounding hills will be more visible.
